Cast combination chains are made of cast block links and steel sidebars alternately spaced. Zmie’s C55 and C188 cast conveyor chain are popular. The inner links of combination chain are cast of malleable iron integrally while the out links are steel made. Both riveted and cottered (split cotter or T cotter) constructions are available. Cast combination chains can be found include: grit conveying, forestry processing, grain handling, elevating applications, and other conveying applications.
